2010 Draft
PUNTERS

xx Zoltan Mesko Michigan 6-4 233 xx
No Senior Bowl Comments Logged

The Sporting News War Room - With no major flaws, Mesko will start for a team as a rookie and is already better than the bottom third of punters in the NFL. He may improve his value if he can show he can kick off in his pre-draft workouts. He deserves third-round draft consideration. Strengths: Has a great frame and arm length for the position, plus outstanding leg extension, explosion and strength on contact with the ball. Is very consistent with his punting technique and production. Can kick with power to drive the ball out from his team's end zone as well as kick with touch in pooch-punt situations.

Weaknesses: Lets his leg drop too low at times, resulting in a line-drive punt down the middle of the field. Will hop upon receipt of the snap at times, which wastes time and movement. Did not handle kickoff duties in college, but has the leg strength to do it.

xx Matt Dodge E Carolina 6-1 223 xx
No Senior Bowl Comments Logged

The Sporting News War Room - Dodge is a legit NFL punting prospect who should win a job as a rookie. He has the strong leg and control that few punters display coming out of college. His ability to be a team's kickoff specialist not only adds value but also gives him the ability to help his team win the field-position battle in every area. Strengths: A strong-legged punter who can drive the ball long distances when kicking his team out of bad field position. Has good control and touch. Gets his punts off fast and has consistently shown the ability to cut down his punting time when kicking out of his own end zone. Can drive the ball deep with good hang time thanks to his leg strength.

Weaknesses: Has not had to kick in really big games and will need to prove he can perform at the NFL level.
