2015 Draft
Buzz
As of April 2, 2015

Pick Team Buzz (updated regularly) Logical Pick
Why I tend to ignore player interviews and visits: There are too many of them and they can mean too many different things. Of course they can reflect legitimate interest in a player, but they can also be used to pencil-in missing information or gin up trade interest in a prospect the team has absolutely no interest in. This is why I caution you not to read too much into an interview or visit.
1 Tampa Bay Latest buzz has them drafting Winston. But. accordingto Ron Jaworski, the coaches are now adding their input to that of the scouts and they like Mariota better than Winston....Stlll, Phila, SD and Cleve said to be jockeying to trade up to get Mariota... Mariota
2 Tennessee Fielding trade talks but expected to draft Mariota if they keep the pick. Denied that there were talks with SD to trade this pick for Rivers...But could still be fielding trade talks from teams looking to trade up to grab Mariota (Most frequently mentioned - San Diego and Cleveland). Some rank Williams ahead of Winston. Until we hear more, we'll stick with Williams to the Titans.. L Williams DL
3 Jacksonville Unanimous pick in Punditville. If Winston is still available, Jax might turnout to be a lucrative trade partner. If both QB's went #1 and #2, Williams would be a no-brainer here. Six of six mocks reviewed have them taking Dante Fowler. We'll stand pat unless or until there's a trade. D Fowler OLB
4 Oakland Pundits expect them to grab Williams if he falls here. The recent signing of Crabtree might signal a new dirtection from Oakland (possibly Fowler or Ray).Just because Big Al is no longer with us doesn't mean the Raiders won't opt for home run speed. 6 Mocks - K White 4; Cooper 2 K White WR
5 Washington How do you not take Winston if he falls here - but I'd bet my boots he'll be gone by #2. But we've got to stash him somewhere and here it will be. Said to want to give RGIII more offensive weapons to work with. If both QB's are off their board, the logical direction would then be an edge rusher like Ray or Beasley. 6 Mocks - Beasley 2. Winston QB
6 Jets Late buzz points them toward Gurley or Ray. Ray's foot injury and weed bust is spooking some teams. Dupree almost as explosive...Set at CB. Jets are big on making PR-friendly moves. Dupree OLB
7 Chicago New regime in town. Marshall is gone. Media mocks seem to point to CB or DL with Waynes getting 2 of 6 mentions. Nevertheless, consider this pick to be the second in a run on big, fast WR's. Cooper WR
8 Atlanta Talking to lots of prospects. None of the mocks we reviewed point to a player or position trend (suggesting they're sincere in going a BPA route). . They're still ruing the day when they let their running game go to seed. At #8, this could be where Gurley eventually skyrockets to. Gurley RB
9 Giants CW has them taking an OT. Two mocks we looked at have them taking Danny Shelton. Three others have them looking at OL (2 have singled out Peat). Coughlin likes to be solid inside. A wild-assed guess but: how about a quality OT who also plays center? C Erving T-C
10 Rams Looks like they'll grab an OL (unless they draft a WR). Rams continue to use high picks to remake themselves, but as fast as they dig themselves out of a hole, the dirt fills in behind them. This off season, it was trading away Bradford for Foles. They stilll need to add onto G. Robinson on the O-line. (Gordon or Gurley might be tempting. some pundits have them adding a dynamic wideout. Scherff OT
11 Minnesota Waynes getting a lot of attention, but - with Adrian Peterson one foot out the door, Gordon or Gurley (if healthy) would make sense, with Gordon the safer and more explosive option. 6 Mocks - Waynes 3. Waynes CB
12 Cleveland 1 Could parlay their #12 and #19 picks to move up to nab Mariota or someone else they covet...Said to be interested in adding a RB. A point in the draft where more than one BPA drops down. Waynes sticks out here like a sore thumb. Shelton receiving a lot of attention here from the pundits. Shelton DT
13 New Orleans1 Rob Ryan said to wax enthusiastic over Beasley and they might trade up to get him. . Biggest interest this high appears to be in a pass rusher (Then again, Brees got knocked around a lot last year. Need OL help. Look for NO to consider parlaying #13 and #31 into an effort to trade up. Beasley DE/OLB
14 Miami Pundits favor a CB (Waynes?) or WR (Parker?) Have been talking to speedy receivers, TE's and edge rushers. Need more help in the offensive trenches. 6 Mocks - Parker 2. Parker WR
15 San Francisco Took hits across the board in the off-season (including the loss of Iupati)....DT the most commonly referred-to position in recent mocks with O-line a distant second. Need to re-gain toughness on defense. I just don't think they'll let Gregory fall past here. 6 Mocks - Armstead 5. Armstead DE
16 Houston Perriman's name keeps popping up. Could use some help at corner. UConn kid said to be vaulting up the charts Perriman WR
17 San Diego

Could take a RB if either top back is available. Hot rumor that they're tryng to trade Rivers for a shot at Mariota (or Winston?)...Five of six media mocks point to a RB. If Gurley would be available here, the Chargers would likely nab him,

Gordon RB
18 Kansas City 4 of six mocks reviewed have them drafting an O-lineman. L Collins' name keeps popping up. Peat may go higher than here. Hurting at WR. L Collins OT
19 Cleveland 2 2nd pick. If they keep it, they could use it to shore up receiver depth, but Peat's too good to pass up here. Peat OT
20 Philadelphia Philly said to trying everything (including inclusion of a third team and dangling their #1 pick in 2016) to move up to #2 to take Mariota...Dorsett the concensus pick among pundits...Said to be one of several teams in the Mariota chase. Coud be part of a three way trade involving Cleveland and a Top 5 team that would trade away Bradford and move up to get Mariota. They coud go BPA but my guess that Chip Kelly's BPA board is different from most other boards. Need someone for Bradford (or Mariota?) to play catch with Dorsett WR
21 Cincinnati DL and OL receiving some buzz. M Brown a possibility. Need help at DE. They've never been bashful before about rolling dice on good athletes with character red flags. M Brown DT
22 Pittsburgh Retiremen of Palomalo and Ike Taylor leaves the Steeler secondary a bit bare. This may be where Peters lands. K Johnson CB
23 Detroit Fairley and Suh are no longer Lions. They did add Ngata but depth remains an issue. Do they go for a run stuffer (Goldman? M Brown?) or a pentrator (Bennett?). We say Goldman, Goldman DT
24 Cardinals

Keim and Arians now know what kind of system they want and what kind of players they want at each position. For example, they lost Dockett and need someone with Darnell's penetrating skills and versatility. Bennett is the one guy in this draft who best fits this profile and could also turn out to be the BPA at #24.

Pundits like Gordon here, but we think he'll be long gone...Could go anyone of several ways. Card position-priorities figure to be Edge Rusher, ILB, a big RB, DE/UT, and TE but they figure to go the BPA route and could even trade down.

McKinney ILB
25 Carolina Need to replace Hardy (if that's possible). But you can't ignore 6 mocks all pointing to their picking an O-lineman. (L Collins, Peat, Clemmings or DJ Humphries). Clemmings might be considered best athlete on their board. Flowers OT
26 Baltimore Gordon will not get past the Ravens at #26...If Peters isn't gone already, he could be the guy here...Interviewing lots of prospects...Thin at DB; Did OK at RB last season but could use depth. Pundits are zeroing in on a WR or DT, but, in my opinion, they're never fully recovered from the retirement of Ray Lewis and McKinney is still available. Peters CB
27 Dallas The corner from UConn (B Jones) receiving a surge of late-minute interest for Dallas by the pundits....The loss of Murray suggests they'll try to land Gordon or Gurley and could try to trade up to get one of them. Active in free agency...Just re-sighed McClain. Said to be seeking to be bigger and tougher inside on the DL. B Jones CB
28 Denver 5 of six mocks reviewed have them taking an OL. (Erving mentioned twice). They'd like to give P Manning more help at TE. None have been taken thus far. Fisher OT
29 Indianapolis Some teams are skittish about an early knee injury to Ajayi in college...OL mentioned in three mocks (2 of which mention T-C Cameron Irving). Need a back-end playmaker but draft isn't deep in elite safeties... Could opt for help at RB. Ray DE/OLB
30 Green Bay Could be Goldman or Kendricks (if Goldman still on board) ...NFL.com's recent 6-pundit mockavaganza has the Pack considering DT or CB with TE or ILB possibilities. They' lack ILB depth. s Kendricks LB
31 New Orleans2 They shocked the world by trading their All Pro TE (Graham) for a center (Unger) and at least one pick. They could try to parlay this pick and #13 in an effort to trade up (but for whom? Mariota perhaps? Brees isn't getting any younger). If they keep the pick, they could draft a WR like Parker, but talented wideouts are bountiful, whereas CB's are in short supply. Green-Beckham WR
32 New England They're hurting at WR and the interior of their O-line. RB not out of the question. But here's my wild-assed guess of this draft - The Pats keep grooming replacements for Brady and then letting them move on. Would it be time to add another promising QB? (The most intriguing QB prospect appears to be heady Garrett Grayson. He'd be a reach here, but NE marches to the beat of a different drummer anyway). Grayson QB
50 Buffalo It's hard to predict who'll still be around when Buffalo finally gets to pick. Orchard DE/LB
63 Seattle (See Buffalo). Gave up 1st round pick (#31) in Graham trade. Wagner gone. D Perryman ILB
