1 Cody Prewitt FS x Mississippi 4.60 6020 208 x

"Centerfielder" with good athletic creds who can play single-high but is inconsistent in backfield vision and shed technique. Will take the shortahe route from point A to point B...Sometimes too aggressive...Speed not elite.

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...ran much better at his pro day than he did at the combine in the 40-yard dash, posting times of 4.47 and 4.46 seconds (he ran 4.6 in Indianapolis). He also performed 12 strength lifts. Prewitt also showed good ball skills during his positional workout."

Combine - Arm: 32.6; BP 11; VJ: 35.0; BJ: 10-5; 3C: 7.12; 20S: 4.23; 60S: 11.44

7 Chris Hackett FS x TCU 4.81 6020 195 x

The 4.81 forty time doesn't exactly thrill us. According to Lindy's (Rang), he lacks the buzz around Collins or the build of Prewitt but is a proven playmaker (7 picks in 2014)......Smooth and coordinated. Versatile -can play centerfield or drop down into the box....lanky frame could make hi vulnerable physically in the pros.

Pro Day (Brandt) - ".. ran the 40 in 4.66 and 4.69. He had a 7.03 3-cone drill and put the bar up 11 times. Hackett had a great workout. You wish he were a little faster, but his strong ball skills make up for the lack of flat-out speed."

Combine - Arm: 31.5; BP NA; VJ: 32.0; BJ: 9-2; 3C: 7.12; 20S: 4.20; 60S: 11.14

3 Gerod Holliman FS x Louisville est. 4.54 6000 218 x

How does a record-setting 14 picks hit you? Known for his awareness, agility and hands... unafraid to hit someone...but is an inconsistent tackler/needs work on technique, angles/doesn't wrap up as well as he should...

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...a safety who led the nation in interceptions, turned in 40 times of 4.65 and 4.68 seconds. He had a 27-inch vertical and a 9-1 broad jump. He ran a 4.45 short shuttle and a 7.08 3-cone drill. Holliman has good ball skills, but he lacks the competitiveness that's needed to play safety in the NFL."

Combine - Arm: 32.0; BP: 17

4 Derron Smith FS x Fresno State est. 4.52 5100 200 x

Rang describes him as a "prolific takeaway machine" and a fairly reliable open field tackler. Has good field awareness and terrific ball skills...quick to move downhill when necessary...but lacks prototypical size for a safety...can be moved by QB's eyes...

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...did not work out at the combine. At Fresno State's pro day, he ran the 40 in 4.6 and 4.69 seconds. He had a 34-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot-3 broad jump. He did the 20-yard short shuttle in 4.48 seconds and the three-cone drill in 6.94 seconds. He also performed 18 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. Smith had a good, solid positional workout, but he's not the ideal size for a safety in the NFL."

Combine - Arm: 29.8;

5 Durell Eskridge FS x Syracuse 4.63 6030 208 x

Speed isn't horrible, but he ran over a tenth of a second slower at combine than is preseason forty est. Very good size...makes plays...good COD for size...but is somewhat raw (lack of experience and field awareness makes him "play slow." Surgery on right hand in Spring 2014

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...NA

Combine - Arm: 32.4; BP NA; VJ: 31.0; BJ: 9-9; 3C: 7.09; 20S: 4.26; 60S: NA

6 Kurtis Drummond FS x Michigan State 4.65 6010 208 x

Nice size and arm length...Has qualities that should project him to be a starting NFL safety, but lacks instincts and recovery skills and struggles in deep coverage with his back to the ball...Slender body-type plus so-so muscle tone.

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...chose not to run at the pro day, which was a bit of a surprise given that he didn't run as well as expected at the combine (4.65 seconds in the 40). Drummond had a 10-foot-3 broad jump and 4.41-second 20-yard short shuttle time. He also did 13 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. Drummond had a good pro-day positional workout, catching the ball well."

Combine - Arm: 32.3; BP NA; VJ: 39.5; BJ: 9-11; 3C: 7.09; 20S: 4.33; 60S: 12.03

2 Adrian Amos FS x Penn State 4.56 6000 218 x

Versatile - played CB and then safety...Had strong Senior Bowl week...Physical with good size and speed for the position...smooth in coverage/plays the football well...doesn't make big plays but is a sound defender.

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...ran the 40-yard dash in 4.37 and 4.4 seconds. He performed 21 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press, and then stood on the rest of his numbers from the NFL Scouting Combine, where he was a top performer among safeties in the 20-yard short shuttle and 60-yard shuttle. Amos had a very good pro-day workout, significantly improving his 40 time, and made himself some money at Penn State's pro day."

Combine - Arm: 32.3; BP NA; VJ: 35.5; BJ: 10-2; 3C: 7.09; 20S: 4.03; 60S: 11.33

8 Damarious Randall FS x Arizona State 4.46 5110 196 x

Has CB size and a safety skill set...Won't start on Day One but should contribute immediately on special teams...Elite combine forty time...highly aggressive, plays 100 mph full-tilt...takes good angles...relentless in pursuit...but is a bit undersized and lacks ideal strength and mass for the position...I can't help but wonder whether he might be best suited as a nickel corner.

Pro Day (Brandt) - "..did a 35-inch vertical, but that won't really count since he jumped three inches higher at the combine. Randall was a top performer at the combine in his position group in the 40-yard dash, vertical jump, three-cone drill and 20-yard shuttle."

Combine - Arm: 30.3; BP 14; VJ: 38.0; BJ: 10-0; 3C: 6.83; 20S: 4.07; 60S: NA

9 Tevin McDonald FS x Eastern Washington 4.63 5110 195 x

Former Cardinal safety Tim McDonald's kid...listed on Lindy's "worth wtching" list...not very big...decent speed...Off the field concerns...

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...at the NFL Scouting Combine last month -- was not at the pro day and will work out instead at Fresno State's pro day on Thursday."

Combine - Arm: 29.8; BP 19; VJ: 33.0; BJ: 9-4; 3C: 7.01; 20S: 4.26; 60S: 11.77

10 Detrick Bonner FS x Virginia Tech x 6000 207 x

Another safety on the Lindy's "worth watching" list...Played just about everywhere except D-line for Hokies...Arians a bit partial to Va. Tech prospects...Frame is a bit lanky but he has pretty good size for a FS (despite losing an inch of height - combine vs. pre-combine).

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...did not workout since he had surgery to repair Jones fractures in both feeet on March 12."

Combine - Arm: 31.2; BP 15;
