2015 Draft
Centers
This page will be a work in progress and updated frequently. Come back often and watch it develop.

3 Reese Dismukes C x Auburn 1.81 6050 312 1st-2nd

May be drafted later than hype suggests...a bit short (& light) for the position...but low COG and natural knee bend could serve as an advantage...short arms/small hands.

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...stood on his combine numbers and went through a good positional workout. Dismukes was a good college player; he won the 2014 Rimington Trophy, which is given to college football's top center. I'm not sure how much bigger he is going to get, however.

Combine - Forty: 5.31; Arms: 32.0; Hands: 8.3; BP: 23; VJ: 27.5; BJ: 8-11; 3C: 8.14; 20S: 4.70.

4 Hronis Grasu C x Oregon est. 5.12 6030 297 x

Lacks the ballast and power that teams look for...has good quickness and lateral agility..."plays low."...will sometimes overreact to inside blitzes and stunts and "try to do too much. Est. 5.12 forty.

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...the 40-yard dash in 5.03 and 5.01 seconds. He had a short shuttle time of 4.20 seconds and a three-cone time of 7.84 seconds. Grasu is a very fluid athlete.

Combine -NA

1 Andy Gallik C x Boston College 1.90 6020 306 x

Rang describes as "heady and instinctive" with "head on a swivel." Average size and explosiveness...will sometimes come off the ball high.

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...NA

Combine - Forty: 5.50; BP: 29; VJ: 27.0; BJ: 8-0; 3C: 7.66; 20S: 4.58..

2 BJ Finney C x Kansas State 1.84 6040 318 7th

Tough and competitive with good leadership intangiblesd...Quick off the snap and to set up...tough in the trenches...but athletically "average" and straight-legged.

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...stood on all of his combine numbers except the 3-cone drill, which he ran in 7.69 seconds. He's a very tough player who will probably make a team because of his fight-to-the-end competitiveness."

Combine - Forty: 5.25; BP: 20; VJ: 24.0; BJ: 8-3; 20S: 4.76.......

5 Shaq Mason C x Georgia Tech x 6040 304 x

Est. 5.27 forty...Elite Aggressiveness and quicks off the ball..."Stalky" powerful build with peroverbial "mean streak." Limited positional versatility...

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...(not at the combine). Mason (6-foot-1 3/4, 304 pounds) ran the 40 in 4.97 and 5.00. He had a 32-inch vertical and a 9-foot-2 broad jump. He hda a 4.65 short shuttle and a 7.53 3-cone drill, and posted 25 bench-press reps. Mason was worked out as a center by former New England Patriots offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia, and he looked solid. He's probably a late-round draft pick or a priority free agent.

  Combine - Not listed.

6 Max Garcia C x Florida x 6040 309 x

Limited athleticism and range, but has good core strength and seldom makes a mistake or blows an assignment...Uses hands physically...Est. Forty: 5.2.

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...NA

Combine - NA

7 Shane McDermott C x Miami (FL) x 6050 300 x

Est. Forty: 5.21...Tries to overcome athletic limitations with tenacity andaggression, but doesn't always succeed and he can get overmatched...

Pro Day (Brandt) - "..NA.

Combine - Not Listed

8 Dillon Day C x Mississippi State x 6040 306 x

Est. Forty: 5.26. Write-up is nearly a clone of McDermott's (i.e. uses intangibles to compensate for lack of athleticism and strength (with mixed success).

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...NA

Combine - Not Listed.

9 Greg Mancz C x Toledo x 6040 301 x

Listed under unsung players "worth watching.

Pro Day (Brandt) - ..." Mancz is unable to work out right now because he had surgery for a right shoulder injury suffered in the East-West Shrine Game; it was his third shoulder operation."

Combine - NA
