2015 Draft
Guards
This page will be a work in progress and updated frequently. Come back often and watch it develop.

1 Mark Glowinski OG x West Virginina 1.83 6040 307 x

Impressed at East-West practices...built more like an OT...Versatile (played some RT in at East-West contest)...Hand placement and upper body strength stood out, but might not be agile enough to stay at tackle. Not a natural knee-bender.

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...ran the 40 in 5.10 and 5.16 seconds. He had a 31-inch vertical. He looked really good in drills. The only negative for him is he needs to get stronger."

Combine: Forty: 5.20; BP: 31; VJ: 29.5; BJ: 9-5; 3C: 7.56; 20S: 4.58

3 AJ Cann OG x South Carolina x 6030 313 x

Much heralded coming out of high school...flexible lower body and natural bender...naturally powerful with brute strength that can move bodies..."strong finisher." But may lack agility to effectively pass block and may be more suited to an NFL offensive scheme that emphasizes a power run game. Lacks the proverbial mean streak.

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...ran the 40 in 5.47 and 5.46 seconds. He had a 32 1/2-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot-1 broad jump. He also performed 30 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. Cann had a really good positional workout, doing most of his work at the center position. He is very strong and has really good short-area quickness...."

Combine: BP: 26

4 Arie Kouandjio OG x Alabama x 6050 310 x

Good length/a "mauler in the run game...Good length...medical issues...Good build...natural bender...but there are some technical flaws to go with the medical concerns (i.e. is just as likely to be last off the ball as he is the first).

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...ran the 40 in 5.47 and 5.46 seconds. He had a 25-inch vertical jump and 8-foot-4 broad jump. An offensive line coach from the Bengals put Kouandjio through his positional workout.."

Combine: NA

5 Tre' Jackson OG x Florida State 1.92 6040 330 x

"Arguably the most accomplished RG in the draft" - Rang...but there are concerns that he isn't playing up to the level of his heralded reputation technique-wise...Quick for size and big and strong, but not so physically dominating that he can get by on pure physical talent alone...

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...ran the short shuttle in 5.3 seconds and the three-cone drill in 8.4 seconds. He performed 20 strength lifts. Jackson is well-coached and knows how to position himself."

Combine: Forty: 5.52; VJ:25.0; BJ: 8-0

6 John Miller OG x Louisville 1.87 6020 303 x

"Physical presence in the ground game" but will overextend at times. Quick off the snap but will then slow down...Flexible lower body with good knee bend. Generates good power from hips and anchors well...

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...ran once, posting a 5.20-second 40-yard dash. He also had a 28-inch vertical, an 8-10 broad jump, a 4.79 short shuttle and a 7.80 3-cone drill. He looked impressive in his workout. This is a good football player."

Combine: Forty: 5.33; BP: 29; VJ:27.0; BJ: 8-8; 3C: 8.20; 20S: 4.75

7 Laken Tomlinson OG x Duke 1.89 6030 323 x

Wide, squatty space-eater who struggles to sustain and is inconsistent in space. Tough to root out of there, but has limited range and mobility and not consistent at the second level...

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...ran the 40 in 5.23 and 5.2 seconds. He had a short shuttle time of 4.73 seconds and a three-cone time of 7.87 seconds. He had a 29-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot broad jump." N.A

Combine: Forty: 5.33; BP: 25; VJ: 31.5; BJ: 8-8; 3C: 8.17; 20S: 4.87

2 Al Marpet OG x Hobart 1.81 6040 307 x

Considered a "poor man's Zack Martin." Overachiever...plays with discipline and control...mechanically sound...keeps feet moving...but has short arms and sloppy looking mid-section (could stand to add strength and bulk).

Pro Day (Brandt) - N.A

Combine: Forty: 4.98; BP: 30; VJ: 30.5; BJ: 9-0; 3C: 7.33; 20: 4.47....

8 Josue Matias OG x Florida State x 6050 309 x

Quick to set up...uses hands effectively...reliable in pass protection but needs work as a run blocker..

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...ran the 40 in 5.36 seconds on both attempts. He had a 24 1/2-inch vertical jump and a 7-foot-10 broad jump. Matias ran the short shuttle in 5.1 seconds and performed 21 strength lifts. All of those are better numbers than Matias posted at the combine."

Combine: Forty: 5.52; VJ: 17.5; BJ: 7-0; 3C: 8.19; 20S: 5.12.

9^ Jamil Douglas OG x ASU 1.75 6040 304 x

Quick off the snap...plays with good leverage...can reach second level and play well in space...short arms...police blotter 2010 red flag.

Pro Day (Brandt) - "....did the short shuttle in 4.58 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.73 seconds. He stood on the rest of his numbers from the NFL Scouting Combine. An offensive line coach from the Indianapolis Colts put Douglas through his positional workout."

Combine: Forty: 5.25; BP: 28 VJ: 29.0; BJ: 8-3; 3C: 7.99; 20S: 4.75

10 Jon Feliciano OG x Miami (FL) 1.86 6040 323 x

Plays as expected for someone his size/arm-length...Road grader in the run game...Brings considerable experience to a traditional offense...but is limited as an athlete and there are "glaring" inconsistency issues that often comne with a player his size."

Pro Day (Brandt) - N.A

Combine: Forty: 5.33; VJ:26.5 ; BJ: 8-1; 20S:4.74
