2015 Draft
Offensive Tackles
This page will be a work in progress and updated frequently. Come back often and watch it develop.

6 TJ Clemmings OT x Pitt 1.84 6050 309 1st

Often compared to Lane Johnson...Could turn out to be the best of this year's OT bunch....Love the long arms...Fluid, quick and athletic with a wide base...must improve hand placement.

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...projected as a first rounder...had an exceptional positional workout, and stood on his numbers from the NFL Scouting Combine, where he was a top performer in his position group in the vertical jump and 20-yard short shuttle."

Combine: Arms:35.3; Forty: 5.14; BP: 22; VJ: 32.5; BJ: 9-3; 3C: 7.68; 20S: 4.54;

2 Brandon Scherff OT x Iowa 1.78 6050 319 1st

Outstanding drive blocker outof the Ferencz mold who pllays with excellent technique and grit. Knee surgery in 2014...could be more consistent in pass pro (some have concerns that he might have to be moved to RT in some systems)...reminds some scouts of Zack Martin...

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...suffered a hamstring injury early in drills at the NFL Scouting Combine in February, but did stand on his combine 40-yard dash time (5.05 seconds). At the pro day, he had a 32 1/2-inch vertical and a 8-foot-11 broad jump. He completed the short shuttle in 4.57 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.18 seconds. Scherff has big hands (11 inches) and performed 22 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. He had a very good workout, justifying his standing as a prospect expected to go in the first round."

Combine: Arms: 33.4; Forty: 5.05; BP: 23

3 La'el Collins OT x LSU 1.86 6040 305 1st

"May not always look pretty but consistently gets the job done." - Rang (who also waxes poetic over Collins' "stunningly quick feet"and potential to become a devestating drive blocker)...Lacks elite balance and can be challenged by speed rushers...occasionally will lunge or play a bit top-heavy...good in space...needs work on hand placement...

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...very athletic and had a really good positional workout. He is described as the typical small-town Louisiana kid.".

Combine: Arms: 33.3; Forty: 5.12; BP: 21; VJ: 27.0; BJ: 9-0; 3C: 7.70; 20S: 4.63;

1 Andrus Peat OT x Stanford 1.82 6070 313 1st

Monstrous frame but still light on his feet and quick off the snap...Not the road-grader you'd expect...waste-bends when tired. Compared to D'Brickashaw Ferguson.

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...had a 10 1/2-foot broad jump and stood on the rest of his numbers from the combine. Peat -- who has 33 3/4-inch arms -- had a good pro-day workout. Veteran offensive line coach Alex Gibbs, who has been working with Peat in his draft preparations, put the prospect through his positional drills. He actually worked out better at left tackle than at right tackle, which is good for him. Peat is the son of Todd Peat, who played six seasons as a guard in the NFL."

Combine: Arms: 34.4; Forty: 5.18; VJ: 31.0; BJ: 8-9; 3C: 8.01; 20S: 4.62;

4 Cameron Irving OT 15 Florida State x 6050 308 x

Versatile (plays center), tough, aggressive...works to finish opponent...needs to clean up sloppy footwork in pass pro...At a position where elite LT's strive for zero miscues he too often tries to get by on his athletic ability alone.

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...worked out as both a center and an offensive tackle, and had a really good pro day."

Combine: NL

7 Cedric Ogbuehi OT x Texas A&M x 6050 306 x

Singled out by Rang's manual for most impressive initial quickness...("Looks the part of a future Pro Bowler"). Tore an ACL at tend of last season...a bit of a leaner rather than exploder but has good power and has the strength to drive opponents off the ball. Some questions about his motor in final year.

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...has very long 35 7/8-inch arms. He is still recovering from right ACL surgery and has not been able to participate in postseason all-star games, the combine or pro day. No date has been set for a workout from Ogbuehi. This is one of those prospects that if a team has an extra choice somewhere in the draft, you take a long look at this kid. At one time, Ogbuehi was considered a top-25 draft prospect."

Combine: BP: 23;

5 Jake Fisher OT x Oregon 1.75 6060 306 x

More a technician than elite athlete...Reliable in his execution but can be outdualed by speed rushers.

Pro Day (Brandt) - "..helped himself as much as anybody so far at this year's pro days. Fisher (6-foot-6 3/4, 308 pounds) has 33 1/2-inch arms and 10 3/8-inch hands. Fisher stood on his numbers from the NFL Scouting Combine, where he had the best time among offensive linemen in the three-cone drill and 20-yard short shuttle, and was a top performer in his position group in the 40-yard dash and vertical jump. Fisher is an unbelievably good athlete -- he was a high school tight end -- and was very impressive at the pro day. Fisher made some money Thursday."

Combine: Arms:33.8; Forty: 5.01; BP: 25; VJ: 32.5; 3C: 7.25; 20S: 4.33;

8 Jamon Brown OT x Louisville x 6040 323 x

Rang describes him as "massive, physical and athletic" and a "mammoth physical specimen with tremendous length and girth. May be challenged by NFL speed rushers but can win a lot of battles "just by getting in the way."

Pro Day (Brandt) - "..ran the 40-yard dash in 5.09 seconds and ran just once because he wanted to keep fresh for his workout. He also had a 28-inch vertical and an 8-7 broad jump He ran a 4.70 short shuttle and 7.36 3-cone drill. He did not lift. Brown turned in a solid workout."

Combine: Arms: 34.4

9 Jeremiah Poutasi OT x Utah 1.86 6050 335 x

Gave up just 3 sacks in 2014...Big and strong (with impressive lower-half)...but may lack the quicks to remain at LT in the pros...will sometimes reach out to grab opponents and get flagged for holding...

Pro Day (Brandt) - "...had a 27-inch vertical jump, 8-foot-3 broad jump and 4.89-second 20-yard short shuttle time, and then stood on the rest of his combine numbers. He has 34 1/2-inch arms, and his best NFL position is probably at guard.".

Combine: Arms: 33.0; Forty: 5.32; BP: 23; VJ: 29.0; BJ: 8-7; 3C: 8.09; 20S: 4.89

10 Erek Flowers OT x Miami (FL) 1.90 6060 329 x

Has the physical size to drive block and protect a wide area in pass pro (gotta love thiose long arms), but may struggle against speed rushers - especially since he's sometimes a beat late off the snap count..

Pro Day (Brandt) - NA.

Combine: Arms: 34.3; Forty: 5.31; BP: 37

10+ Ty Sambrailo OT x Colorado State 1.84 6060 311 x

Athletic (free-style speed ski champ) but may lack the functional strength to handle defenders at the next level...Good balance - mirrors well...High FB IQ (& carried himself like a pro iin Mobile)...but there are serious earlier off-the field character and injury red flags that can't be ignored.

Pro Day (Brandt) -"...did the short shuttle in 4.62 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.37 seconds, and then stood on the rest of his numbers from the NFL Scouting Combine, where he was a top performer in his position group in the three-cone drill. Sambrailo is a good player who has a chance to be a high second-round draft pick."

Combine: Arms:33.0; Forty: 5.36; BP: 23; VJ: 29.0; BJ: 8-7; 3C: 7.54; 20S: 4.58;
