Cards' surprise pick at #98 (Cards traded away #77 as part of the trade up to get Budda Baker). Nice size, supposedly decent speed...Fits need for big receiver to replace Floyd but profiles as big and physical but not very twitchy. Another "off the field issues" guy. In a deep year for WR's, we didn't have very much on Williams and will have to do some additional digging.

Said to have run a 4.43 forty. .."X" wide receiver in the Tigers' up-tempo, spread scheme...Excels above the rim with an intriguing blend of size, athleticism and ball skills to provide a large strike zone for the quarterback...tends to rely more on athleticism than technical skill to set up defenders and will need to improve his route-running to create separation in the NFL. Didn't look out of place vs. the top competition at the Senior Bowl...

Good-sized athlete with a slender, but strong frame. Strong leaper with a coordinated plant-and-attack motion towards the ball. ...body control and tracking skills on throws over his shoulder. Leverages the catch point and forces defensive backs to go through him to make a play. Shows same competitive nature after the catch. Takes pride in his blocking. Competes with an edge and not afraid to throw the first punch... Improved production each season, ...posted 13 catches for 152 yards against Arizona...Unpolished route runner /lacks nuance to create easy separation. Not a burner / lacks an explosive top gear... Inefficient vs. press and in/out of his breaks. Redirected and knocked off path...Late to recognize coverages and must speed up mental process. Stabs the ball well, but body adjustments often look forced...Tough, but not elusive after the catch.

Lacks experience against top-level competition. Immature past and known to hang with a questionable crowd.. - Brugler

"This is an intriguing wideout. I really like his talent and ability. There wasn't much buzz on him because of some off-the-field concerns." -- Mayock

Charged with marijuana possession and possession of firearms after LSU campus police checked out a parked vehicle in which he sitting. Excelled after sitting a one-game suspension for the offense. Led the SWAC with 90 catches for 1,337 yards and 11 TD's/earned various Conference all star honors.

Plays bigger than size. Confident in his hands and snatches the ball way out in front of this frame. Shows some physicality after the catch and isn't easy to bring down. Hung 13 catches for 152 yards on Arizona early in the season. Uses body to shield ball from defender.. can play as big as he needs to in space.

However, hearly route speed is below average. Takes too long to get to the top of his routes. Straight-liner. Heavy feet and stiff hips prevent shakes and jukes to allude early tacklers. Should run under the deep ball rather than gliding down the field. Can improve his adjustments on low throws. Character issues a concern.

Net-Net - Heavily targeted and highly productive against a lower level of competition....Decent size and ball skills, but looks slow on tape/ery disjointed route work. Will have to run well at his workout, but even if he does, he's a developmental prospect rather than an early helper. - NFL.com

Senior Bowl - (Day 2) - "...a standout during the South practice...quick feet when he made breaks in his routes and beating plenty of defensive backs from bigger schools..." - PFF
