Gollin - The Cardinals selected a hometown product who played HS football in AZ (Saguero HS) and worked out with a number of Cardinal players including Larry Fitzgerald. He ran a 4.47 forty at the Combine and averaged 22 yds per punt return. Cards had two needs at WR going into this draft: (1) a big, fast dominator to line up opposite Larry Fitzgerald and (2) a speedy slot/ route guy who can provide depth behind Larry Fitzgerald, while perhaps allowing Fitz to move back to the outside. Kirk is known for his strong work-ethic. Just speculating, but Kirk's presence should make things easier for Bradford, Glennon and Rosen in the short-game.
USA Today - He may be on the shorter side, but there’s nothing “undersized” about Kirk’s game. He’s got a strong, solid frame, which makes him extremely difficult to bring down after the catch. Even if he never becomes a No. 1 receiver at the next level, he’ll be a big-play threat on offense and special teams from Day 1.... Kirk has been a constant headache for opponents as both a pass-catcher and a return specialist. A consistent, reliable source of production for the Aggies...
Lindy's - Ranks #2 - Immediate threat out of the slot...Controls his throttle into cuts (ran away from Micah Fitzpatrick)...But shorter than ideal and not an established deep threat...Professional demeanor/commits the extra time between games...Comp: Tim Brown.
PFW - Ranks #6 - Terrific hands...Very quick in and out of cuts...Strong and explosive...Consistent big play threat...But height is marginal for position...Arms are a bit short...Limited route tree in college...Can be top return man on most NFL squads..,Won't get past the 2nd round....
