This page will be a work in progress and updated frequently. Come back often and watch it develop.

15+ Ka'Deem Carey RB 196+ Arizona Jr 5093 207 2nd

Combine Forty: 4.70. A bit small. Better than average straight-ahead speed. Durable. "Physical and violent runner" who needs to be gang-tackled...Runs upright...Fights for extra yardage. Off the field issue. Instinctive cutting thru holes. Agile. Runs with a wide-base....needs work on pass pro...Home run potential. Natural receiving skills..

Pro Day - Forty times ranged from 4.66 to 4.70...VJ inproved to 35.5"...What some consider to be "poor workouts" might move him down into the third round or later....

Combine (RB06) - Hand: 9 1/2; VJ: 32.5; BP: 19; VJ: 32.5; BJ: 115; 3C: 7.08; 20S: 4.38; ...

4 Tre Mason RB 90 Auburn Jr. 5084 207 2nd

Combine Forty: 4.50. Moved up the charts as Auburn moved up the college rankings. Short dude who weighs over 200. Est. forty: 4.65...Rare quicks and cutback vision...will lack of size raise a durability concern?....

Pro Day - Mayock criticized his inability to block effectively, but Mason begged to differ and his college coach emphasized that he's had "great courage...

Combine (RB20) - Hand: 9; VJ: 38.5; BJ: 126; 20S: 4.15; ......

9 Bishop Sankey RB 123 Washington Jr. 5094 209 2nd

Combine Forty: 4.49. Athletic...Work-horse with good vision/agile - good lateral agolity/can run to daylight...fringe size a concern...More quick and agile than strong...some hip-tightness..."instinctive, competitive and shifty" but unspectacular...can change directions in the hole.....needs work on pass pro...

Pro Day - Didn't have much to prove (or to do)...

Combine (RB26) - Arm: 10; BP: 26; BP: 26; VJ: 35.5; BJ: 126; 3C: 6.75; 3C: 7.16; 20S: 4.00; .....

10 Lache Seastrunk RB 126 Baylor rJr. 5090 201 2nd

Very good speed - Combine Forty: 4.51. A between the tackles edge-slicer who may lack cutting decisiveness...Thick legs/low COG...Wiide base/fights for extra yardage...Recruitment character red flags..1177 yards gained in 2013...Competitive runner. Ball protection a concern...Not "hole savvy" (lacks vision and patience). Exceptional agility and accelleration but only marginal receiver..

Pro Day - Improved forty time to 4.46...3C: 6.81; SS: 4.31; 60s: 11.33. Considered a positive effort for a border-line top 100 athlete.

Combine (RB27) - Hand: 9 1/4; BP: 15; VJ: 41.5; BJ: 134; ....

8 Charles Sims RB 117 West Virginia rSr 6000 214 2nd-3rd

Combine Forty: 4.48....Durability concerns...eligibility-issues (not specified)...Transferred to WVA from Houston after graduating with a degree in Health...Tough runner between the tackles...ball security issues...will dance a bit too much into the hole and runs a bit high...pretty good vision/hole-savvy...good cutback runner...runs with low pad level, but lacks "push."...Decent pass catcher but a bit of a body-snatcher..

Combine (RB28) - Hand: 8 1/4; BP: 17; VJ: 37.5; BJ: 126; .20S: 4.30; ...

Pro Day - Stood on combine numbers...

Senior Bowl - Thick lower-body...Described as "special" - a Swiss army-knife kind of RB who doesn't waste much motion, is faster than he looks and drives through contact. . Matt Miller compares him to Matt Forte ("...converts speed to power as well as any back I've seen." - Shotte). Most impressive was the way he accellerates through breaks...Catches well out of the backfield/good route runner - this versatility should earn him more money.

1 Carlos Hyde RB 32 Ohio State rSr 5117 230 2nd-3rd

Combine Forty: 4.66 (pulled up lame).CBS rates #6. ESPN rates #1. My early rating is #1 because he fits the Cardinal need-profile for a big bruising back with enough speed to outrun persuers to the perimeter. Downhill RB who runs with low pad-level..tough and durable.... Inconsistent hands/concentration as a pass-catcher. Lacks elite agility, but not bad for a big guy...maturity red flag....

Pro Day - Skipped the forty (hamstring) but may run for the scouts later this spring. Will need to demonstrate he's faster than the 4.66 he posted with the gimpy leg at the combine.

Combine (RB17) - Hand: 9 5/8; BP: 19; VJ: 34.5; BJ: 114; ........

3 Andre Williams RB 86 Boston College Sr 5113 230 3rd

Combine Forty: 4.56... Big guy who brings it downhill with speed and urgency...Won Doak Walker award as best RB in the nation...Caught zero passes last season...needs pass pro work,,,extra gear...strength to break tackles...good balance...smart and competitive....Benefitted from good blocking (which gave him gaping holes to run thru)...not much receiving experience....Very long arms...Keep an eye on him if he lasts thru mid rounds..

Pro Day - No numbers to back it up, but said to have improved on his combine 4.56 forty...His BC coach said to have "raved" about Williams after the workout (but you'd expect that).

Combine (RB35) - Hand: 9; VJ: 38.0; BJ: 129; 3C: 7.27; 20S: 4.06; 60S: 11.62;.....

12 Lorenzo Taliaferro RB 142 Coastal Carolina xx 6000 229 xx

Combine Forty: 4.58; Probably won't come out this year. (Is it pronounced "Taliaferro or "Tolliver?")...Senior Bowl - caught some scouts' eyes due to the combo of big-size and smooth feet in space.

Pro Day - Looked quick as a runner and consistent as a receiver...mproved on a few combine scores: VJ: 34 (from 33); BP: 22 9FROM 18); BJ: (a 'slight tick up from 10-feet")....

Combine (RB30) - Hand: 8 3/8; BP: 18; VJ: 33.0; BJ: 118; 3C: 6.88; 20S: 4.22; ...

15+ David Fluellen RB 196+ xx xx 5110 224 xx

Combine Forty: 4.72. Fast (@ 4.72?) but a one-speed guy who lacks vision...Runs hard between the tackles.instinctive runner with good vision...good blocker....good RAC skills...but injury concerns...

Pro Day - Ran forty in the high 4.6's; 20S: 4.21; 3C: 6.90; BP: 16; VJ: 38"; projected to be a 5th rounder...

Combine (RB11) - Hand: 9 1/8; VJ: 36.5; BJ: 120; 3C: 6.90; .......

15+ Marion Grice RB 196+ Arizona State Sr 6000 208 4th

No Combine Forty: Profiles as better than average at a lot of things but not outstanding at any one thing...Est. 4.50 speed and average or better agility...good receiving skills..Good inside runner with speed to get to the edge...Needsto work on pass pro and blitz pickup...Can he stay healthy for an entire season?....lean lower half.... Good intangibles despite tough family history (brother was murdered in 2012)..."Adequate competiveness but doesn't run like hair is on fire" - ESPN...

Pro Day - Forty: "4.6 range"...VJ: 32"...Cards not listed among 10 pro teams in attendance...Many teams see him as only a 3rd down back, but he wants to prove them wrong......

Combine (RB14) - Hand: 9 1/4...missed workouts due to broken bone in leg in late-season....

15+ James Wilder Jr RB 196+ Florida State Jr 6030 232 4th-5th

Combine Forty: 4.86. The kind of size Cards may be looking for (but not the 4.86 speed). 4.55 pre-combine est. speed....Durable but the upright way he runs makes him an injury risk...Football family...off the field red-flags...Fights for yardage...ball-security a concern...decent but not outstanding vision/patience...enough agility to cut back but not enough to shake and bake...runs a bit high but still breaks a lot of tackles...pile-pusher (almost always fall forward)...Pass catching not a strength...arrrested three times in less than a year...

Pro Day - Said to have "helped his cause"...lowered his combine forty time from 4.86 to 4.65 (says he was told by others that he unofficially clocked in the low 4.5's)......

Combine (RB34) - Hand: 9 3/4; BP: 18; VJ: 35.0; BJ: 121; 3C: 6.92; 20S: 4.24; 60S: 12.03; ....

13 Tyler Gaffney RB 150 Stanford rSr 5110 220 5th

Combiner Forty: 4.49. Tough runner with nice size...churns legs after contact...tight-hipped/north-south runner...runs duck-footed...they say he lacks breakaway speed but 4.49 ain't chopped liver...played in pro-style offense...Saw a lot of him during the year and was impressed....

Pro Day - tood on combine scores but participated in position drills...wanted to prove he was more fluid than merely a big "downhill runner"...

Combine (RB13) - Hand: 9.; VJ: 36.5; BJ: 116; .3C: 6.78; 20S: 4.18; 60S: 11.36; ...

15+ Antonio Andrews RB 196+ Western Kentucky Sr 5100 225 5th

Combine Forty: 4.82. . Big slow powerful north-south guy with ball-security issues...Pre-combine est. forty speed: 4.60...

Pro Day - Scheduled to work out March 18 but nothing was reported (other than that he wanted to dispel notion that he's a fumbler)....

Combine (RB01) - Hand: 9 1/2; VJ: 29.5; BP: 20; ......

15 James White RB 185 Wisconsin Sr 5090 204 5th-6th

Combine Forty: 4.57. Downhill runner with less than prototypical size...decent but not elite top-end speed - Est. Forty Time: 4.50 - light work-load....frame a concern...Agile but lacks hole-savvy....limited power but tries to overpower rather than elude...limited experience as a receiver.

Pro Day - Just ran routes and "flew around" out there in relaxed atmosphere...

Combine (RB33) - Hand: 8 1/4; BP: 23; VJ: 35.0; BJ: 114; 3C: 7.05; 20S: 4.20; 60S: 11.76; ...

Senior Bowl - Nothing in drills to write home about, but good in pass pro drills.

11 Rajion Neal RB 136 Tennessee Sr 5110 212 6th

4.55 Est. Forty...Average size....track athlete..."team-first" player...profiles as solid lunchpail runner with quick feet/agility...solid in receiving game...runs with decent but not outstanding pad level..

Pro Day - Forty: 4.57; VJ: 38"; 20S: 4.34; 3C: 7.20; BJ:9-11; BP; 28...wowed scouts in receiving drills...projects as 6th or 7th rounder.

15+ ^ Jerick McKinnon RB 196 ^ Georgia Southern Sr 5090 209 6th

Combine Forty: 4.41. Poor ranking was primarily a function of his pre-combine est. forty time of 4.65. Expect his rating to zoom between now and the draft. Workout warrior - if those scores translate to action on the field (from taped footage) look for his stock to skyrocket.

Pro Day - Scouts from 16 teams checked him out...Stood on combine numbers Worked out a bit as a DB....

Combine (RB21) - Hand: 8 5/8; BP: 32; VJ: 40.5; BJ: 132; .3C: 6.83; 20S: 4.12; ...Listed by USA Today as one of the top 5 "winners" coming out of the combine due to his domination of the drills...

Senior Bowl - Counter to the est. 4.65 time, was said to have "game-breaking speed" - the first 2 times he touched the ball in practice, he almost took it to the house. Whether or not he has the necessary vision or balance remains to be seen, Looked pretty good in passing drills.

14 DeAnthony Thomas RB 152 Oregon Jr 5085 174 6th

Combine Forty: 4.50. "The Black Mamba." Sounds quite similar to Ellington (Do we need another similar RB?). Small but has elite speed..."Skips and explodes. Has burst in space"....but not very big / lacks strength... Clean background/strong work-ethic. Agile. Natural pass catcher. USA Today (E Samuel) listed him as a combine "loser" because he was 0nly .03 seconds faster than Clowney in the forty and just ranked #11 in forty times among RB's - not good enough for a 174 lb'er. Methinks Mr Samuel is overemphasizing forty-speed in his evaluation of prospects.

Pro Day - Had an "electrifying" pro day...Forty: 4.34...BJ: 10 -3; VJ: 34"; 20S: 4.21; 3C: 6.83; BP: 9....Brandt considers him a "luxury pick" for some NFL team because he's not big enough to stand up to the pounding in the pros...

Combine (RB31) - Hand: 8 1/8; BP: 8; VJ: 32.0; BJ: 124; ......

5 Storm Johnson RB 92 UCF rJr 6000 209 6th-7th

Combine Forty: 4.60...Hard-hitting downhill runner with an upright running style and who has ball-security issues...Strong between the tackles but surprisingly slippery and good in the open field...Tight hipped...soso top-end speed...Downhill power guy...Impressed me during Bowl gsme....

Pro Day - Clocked between 4.5 and 4.6 but pulled up lame with a hammy...he'll probably work out again closer to draft day...

Combine (RB 18) - Hand: 9 1/2; BP: 16; .VJ: 35.5; BJ: 118; ..

2 Terrance West RB 49 Towson   5092 225

Combine Forty: 4.54. My sleeper RB of this draft...Well-built downhill runner said to lack straight-ahead speed but who ran a 4.54 at the combine...More than just another downhill power guy..."runs with attitude and power." Good vision...Long strider with good functional speed...carried heavy workload...ball-security issues...mpressed me during Bowl game.

Pro Day - worked out vigorously in driving rain...22 teams represented...stood on his combine scores...worked out privately for Cards...looked the part of an "elite prospect"....natural route runner with impressive hands..."runs pretty damn smooth for a thicker kid....

Combine (RB32) - Hand: 9 1/8; BP: 16; VJ: 33.5; BJ: 120; ......

6 Henry Josey RB 104 Missouri   5080 194 7th-FA

Combine Forty: 4.43. Quick one-cut RB with good long speed...high character...protects ball...durability concerns...Impressed me with post-season play.

Pro Day - Stood on combine numbers ("What do you want me to do, get a rocket ship and try to run it down there? I'm fine with what I did")...

Combine (RB32) - Hand: 9 1/8; BP: 20; VJ: 34.5; BJ:118; 3C: 7.07; 20S: 4.13; 60S: 11.67;

7 Jeremy Hill RB 111 LSU   6006 233 7th-FA

Combine Forty: 4.66. Receiving a lot of attention before the Combine, but 4.66 forty time won't help him. Downhill slashing type RB who needs a lot of pass pro work......ran into some off the field problems in HS and found himself suspended at the beginning 2013 for violating probation terms...Cardinals relationship with LSU prospects (& therefore coaching staff) and recent success with former Tiger Tyrann Mathieu might give us a leg up (positively or negatively) in our evaluation of Hill. The 4.52 forty time at his pro day can't hurt.

Pro Day - Ran a 4.52 forty...Bleacher Report calls him the best RB prospect in the draft with amazing ball skills and balance....Mayock calls him a "top level tailback"...Pauline says he caught the ball extremely well...Still must overcome some off-the-field red flags....

Combine ( ): BP: 20; VJ: 29.0; BJ: 113.0;
