Cornerbacks
5 *Jalen Ramsey CB 1 Florida State Jr 6010 209 1

CBS and PFDG rate him #1 Free Safety....Brugler and Rang say he has the potential to be the #1 prospect coming out this year....Good size...."Physical press corner with a high floor/All Pro ceiling"...Versatile (can play S, CB, LB or "Big Nickel" defender...gliding long strider...controlled in transition...Take-away artist with elite field awareness....quick to close...willing vs. run....bats down a lot of balls...Plays with discipline...a bit tight-hipped in coverage...good ball skills but will lose track of ball when back is turned...not a natural enough pass catcher to be a genuine playmaker....above average tackler...could become stronger... "...has the skill set to become a top corner in the NFL...not many interceptions. His hands aren't natural...has the talent to play safety but needs to be more physical" - PFW (Gabriel).

Forty: 4.41...Arm: 33.38...BP: 14....VJ: 41.5...SS: 4.18...3C: 6.94....

85 *Mackensie Alexander CB 6 Clemson rSo 5100 190 1

Was redshirt soph with high potential upside but a lot to still learn...Aggressive man defender with good ball skills...plays with swag...light feet and fluid hips...as tough as he is athletic with continued focus on the techniques of the position...Lacks ideal length (built more like a RB)....will need to learn how to play in zone schemes....Can be beaten by small, quick route-runners...No picks but seldom was picked on...film room junkie.... "...Get anywhere near the red zone and he is on his man like glue...quick as there is when it comes to breaking on the ball." - PFW (Gabriel)/

Pro Day (Brandt) - Alexander ran the 40-yard dash in 4.47 and 4.51 seconds. He had a 37 1/2-inch vertical jump and 10-foot-1 broad jump. He did the 20-yard short shuttle in 4.21 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.18 seconds. Alexander displayed a lot of quickness in his positional workout, and he should be a very strong corner in the NFL.

Forty: 4.47...Arm: 31.38...BP: 11....VJ: 37.5...BJ: 10-1...SS: 4.21...3C: 7.18....

28 *Vernon Hargreaves III CB 2 Florida Jr 5100 204 1

Aggressive cover corner with elite quicks...a tad below Ramsay in size and speed but has elite upside...Made his mark from the moment he stepped onto the field as a true freshman...Ideal combo of quicks, balance and route-recognition...excellent and physical in coverage wit elite open field tackling skill...decent size for a CB..."Fast eyes" - ESPN...Has elite quickness, suddenness and smoothness...good ball skills...As good in off-coverage as he is in press schemes...impressive body control and jump ball skllls...terrific ball skills...aggressive vs. run and physical tackler....Willing tackler but needs to work on techniques....Will sometimes take on ballcarrier too high or lunge at him in open field...Only thing he's lacking is prototypical size....Write ups make him compare to Powers only with better cover skills.... "...very sure of his ability. He will challenge receivers and has fun playing the game..."- PFw (Gabriel).

Forty: 4.50...VJ: 39.0...BP: 15...SS: 3.98...Arm: 30.53...

30 *Eli Apple CB 3 Ohio State rSo 6010 199 1-2

Nice size...fluid but can get a bit grabby (& it will cost his team)...Good length with long arms and good build...Clean hip action and controlled footwork....Pesky in coverage....will fight for jump balls....not afraid to stick his head into the action...short memory...honing tools of trade (route recognition, sideline angles etc.)...Solid work ethic..."survivor mentality."...Covers tight....ball skills OK but not great...strong for position in run support....a bit too grabby downfield....needs to work on techniques of the position (balance, hip work, too much cushion etc.)....can be overaggressive in pursuit and miss tackles....needs to work on tracking skills on deep patterns....young/some discipline issues....ESPN describes as a "fringe first rounder" and one of the top 5 CB's in this years class... "...a physical corner who has all the athletic tools needed to excel at the next level...tall and long...can tackle but does not consistently wrap up." - PFW (Gabriel).

Forty: 4.40...Arm: 31.38...BP:13 .....

92 *Kendall Fuller CB 7 Virginia Tech Jr 5110 187 2

(Injury red flag)...."Quick twitch cover corner who's at his best facing the LOS" - PFDG...Willing in run support...Good bloodlines....nice frame for a CB...athletic....uses body well...but too often plays the receiver and not the ball...sill sometimes lean in coverage...Smart...ballhwak...can line up inside or outside...confident covering on island....plays with an aggressive, physical attittude...Only thing he lacks is elite fluidity....Not yet as consistent as brother Kyle, but has similar field smarts as brother and a higher upside...ESPN projects him to go in the first round... "...coming off knee surgery...good press cover guy...good ball skills...willing run support guy but will miss tackles because he lacks strength...looks like a solid third round type if his knee is all right." - PFW (Gabriel)

Forty: NA...Arm: 31.5...BP: 15.....

33 William Jackson III CB 4 Houston Sr 6000 189 2

Nice size and length...cream of crop in what looks to be a weak CB draft class...."Long CB with adequate speed" - ESPN. Instinctive but not very physical....Showed up on ROTB Cardinal mock list...Improving....Coachable with good work ethic and fire in the belly...Ball skills (especially with his back to the QB) could be betterAggressive....good instincts, field smarts and physical play should compensate for lack of straight line speed...OK in press or off man coverage...may lack short area quicks...a bit tight in hips...will need to refine techniques to make up for any speed or quickness shortcomings...Could be first senior drafted due to size and physical style of play, but ESPN projects as a mid-round pick... "Still a work in progress but he has what can't be taught: height, length and speed. His height, cover skills and and ball reactions will get him drafted." - PFW (Gabriel).

Forty: 4.37...Arm: 31.75...BP: 10.....

120+ *Artie Burns CB 10 Miami (Fla.) Jr 6000 193 2

Looks the part (bigger than you'd expect for a guy named "Artie")....athletic (All Star hurdler)...elite body control and ball skills...tough - can play inside at safety...effective open field tackler...but still a bit raw technique-wise (gets by mostly on his athleticism)...more a drag-down tackler than explosive hitting machine...best in man coverage....needs to play with more discipline...may be a year or two away from meaningful production in the pros...A step late in various aspects of his game....According to ESPN, he'll have to prove to pros he's a better playmaker than his resume indicates thus far.... "...not a burner at the NFL level...Where he gets drafted will be determined by how well he times in the 40..." - PFW (Gabriel).

Forty: 4.46...VJ: 31.5...Arm: 33.25...BP: DNL.....

120+ Will Redmond CB 16+ Mississippi State Sr 5110 182 2-3

(Injury red flag - ACL)...Brugler refers to (unspecified) "rocky moments" (but ESPN refers to no off-the-field baggage and solid football character" and considers him to be "one of the best pure cover corners" in this draft).........lined up as nickel back...average size and strength for CB...good enough (though not elite) speed....if he continues to make steady improvement, he could be in the Top 5 CB's in this draft year. "Should come off the board in the first two rounds" - ESPN...."Needs to get stronger." - PFW (Gabriel).

Forty: DNR...Arm: 30.38...BP: DNL...Did not participate in other combine drills....

120+ Deiondre' Hall CB 16+ Northern Iowa Sr 6020 199 2-3

(Dropped from #9 to #15 on CBS CB ranking)....Write up suggests a Justin Bethel type...Hybrid CB/CB...5 picks in 2014/6 picks in 2015...Terrific length...long-armed...long-strider with excellent recovery speed...above average ball skills...terrific tracking skills...Playmaker: 4 of his career interceptions were pick 6's....aggressive tackler...plays with swag...3 had 3 blocked kicks...team-oriented...also played LB....a bit rangy and leggy...Lacks COD skills....needs to develop techniques of position (route recon, tighter coverage, comeback routes)...needs to become stronger...."frenzied feet and undeveloped anticipation indicate his best position at the next level is safety" - Brugler... "...Reminds me some of Charles Tillman when he was coming out. Tillman had awful footwork entering his first camp." - PFW (Gabriel).

Forty: 4.68...Arm: 34.38...BP: DNL....VJ" 37...SS: 4.06...3C: 7.07....

120+ *Rashard Robinson CB 13 LSU Jr 6010 171 3

Boom or bust...PFDG considers an "unproven commodity".Very athletic but also very slender...character red flag (suspended)...

Pro Day (Brandt) - Robinson ran the 40 in 4.43 seconds on both attempts. He had a 34 1/2-inch vertical jump and 10-foot broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.44 seconds and the three-cone in 7.31 seconds. He put the bar up five times on the bench press. Robinson showed great ball skills in the positional workout, but he is a bit of a straight-line player.

Forty: 4.43...Arm: 32.25...BP: 5....VJ: 35.5....BJ: 10-0...SS: 4.44...3C: 7.31......

105 *Xavien Howard CB 9 Baylor rJr 6000 201 3

He's got the size, fluidity, athleticism and physicality to project him as having upside as a starter...but a grabby habit could impede his progress...Nice size...experienced in man-coverage/often matched up with #1 receiver...balanced, coordinated with fluid hips...decent (but not elite) speed...nice sideline leverage technique...10 interceptions in past 2 years....willing tackler....aggressive vs. underneath targets..."may be too physical for own good" (& gets flagged too often for it)...will struggle vs. smaller, quicker slot opponents...Needs to track deep passes more effectively...Compared to Byron Maxwell...Looks more like an S than a CB but has better coverage skills. (Note - If Cards cannot retain R Johnson, would Howard be a logical type replacement)?

Forty: 4.58Arm: 31.25......BP: 11.....VJ: 33...SS: 4.15...3C: 7.18...

120+ *Zack Sanchez CB 16+ Oklahoma rJr 5110 185 3

fA bit small...tends to overgamble...sloppy footwork...

Forty: DNR...Arm: 31.38...BP: 19....VJ: 35.5....

98 Maurice Canady CB 8 Virginia Sr 6010 193 3-4

Good ball skills...can flip his hips...needs to be more physical, especially in run support..."...Tall and long. Good athlete with quickness and change of direction...Just average long speed...Was afraid to get beat deep, and that caused him to give up too many completions underneath...could develop if he regains his confidence." - PFW (Gabriel).

Forty: 4.49...Arm: 31.38...BP: 16....VJ: 38...SS: 4.09...3C: 7.03...

120+ D.J. White CB 16+ Georgia Tech Sr 5110 193 4

Undersized...no burner...closes nicely...some ball skills... "...play fell off in 2015...didn't play with the same sense of urgency...can give up too much cushion in off coverage...lacks elite speed." - PFW (Gabriel).

Forty: 4.49...Arm: 31.5...BP: 17....VJ: 33.0...SS: 4.33...3C: 7.18.....

120+ Eric Murray CB 16+ Minnesota Sr 5110 199 4

120+ Cyrus Jones CB 16+ Alabama Sr 5100 197 4
