10 Ogbonnia Okoronkwo LB30 EDG x DL29 Oklahoma Sr 6010 253 x

USA Today - Anyone who calls Okoronkwo “undersized” probably never had to line up across from him. What he lacks in size, he more than makes up for in every other area of his game...Uses his shorter frame to his advantage, getting consistent bend and turning his low center of gravity into a weapon against bigger offensive tackles. A productive, disruptive playmaker, (29.5 tackles for loss and 17 sacks and five forced fumbles over the past two seasons).

Lindy's - Not a quick-twitch speed demon who reies on athleticism alone...offers NFL acceleration and competitive juice...Has the look of an NFL DE...Showcases dominant arm to move blockers with brute power...quick outside/in move...Technicaly sound pass rusher...Quick to process backfield action...Loves to yap...Lacks elite get-off or edge speed...Discipline lapses/late hits...Comp: Chandler Jones.

PFW - Very productive (17 sacks in past 2 seasons)...Very long arms for a guy his height...Excellent speed and athleticism...Plays with strength and power...can drop into coverage...Pass rush talent...VG tackler...Quick to read 'n react...excellent in pursuit...Difficult to evaluate (no prototype to compare him with)...Explosive pass rush skills...goes hard on every down...strength at point...more of a WILL lb in a 4-3 who could develop into a SAM...Can rush the passer but lacks ideal body type...Good tape but not great measurables.

4 Marcus Davenport DL29 EDG x UTSA Sr 6060 264 x

USA Today - If you were hoping your favorite NFL team could steal this “sleeper”, I’m here to burst your bubble. Impressive combination of size, athleticism and versatility should have him firmly planted in the first-round conversation....Still fairly raw, but his ceiling is limitless. Can play with his hand in the dirt or standing up/put up 17.5 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks last season. With NFL-level coaching, he could easily become an impact player at the next level sooner than later.

Lindy's - Got some Top 10 buzz leading up to Senior Bowl but didn't live up to the hype...Not a technically proficient pass rusher but his physical traits and work ethic offer an intriguing upside...Still quite raw...Excellent arm-length and wingspan...Raw power is clear, but needs to work on lowering pad-level and other techniques...Production has climbed each year. ...Overthinks instead of reacting...Comp: Ziggy Ansah

PFW - Very tall with very long arms...Has the frame to carry 270...Good play-strength/some explosiveness...Good to VG pass rush skills...some experience dropping into coverage...Raw...Just adequate instincts...Keeps ascending....intriguing blend of length and athleticism...runs well for such a tall guy...bats balls down...has traits to become a very good NFL pass rusher....Will probably start out as a designated pass rusher and be drafted more on what he can be than what he actually is right now...

11 Arden Key DL38 EDG y LSU Jr 6060 238 x

USA Today - Flashed his pass-rushing potential, leading the SEC with 12 sacks in 2016, but injuries and inconsistency have marred his 2017 campaign...Massive frame and rare combination of athleticism and explosiveness for his size will have NFL teams salivating...Most important thing he did this year was prove he could add quality bulk to his previously lean frame. If he can stay healthy and prove he can retain his explosiveness at his current weight,he should solidify himself as a potential top-10 talent.

Lindy's - Can wreak havoc when healthy & focused...durability and off-the-field concerns (medical and suspensions; 4 mo. personal leave of absence)...Bust potential...Legitimate force with an explosive burst as a pass rusher...More powerful than frame suggests but can be blown off the the ball or dragged by smaller ballcarriers...Guesses wrong too defending read-options...

PFW - Hit or miss reputation...Tall with length...very good athlete with quick get-off...good closing burst to QB...quick to key and diagnose...Production fell off in 2017...some injury issues...Did not play in LSU bowl game...as talented a pass rusher as you'll find in the draft but has some issues (i.e. milking injuries, protecting himself etc.)...Better pass rusher than run defender...Great closing ability...

9 Jeff Holland LB17 EDG x Auburn Jr 6020 249 x

USA Today - A physical, explosive rusher off the edge, who made the most of his first year as a starter, racking up nine sacks and 12 tackles for loss...Look for him to land with a 3-4 team, where his frame and skill set will be best utilized....Tiger is still firmly planted in the “sleeper” category for the time being....

Lindy's - Played Hybrid (BUCK) pass rusher in 4-3...Try-hard rusher with enough athleticism and desire to be groomed for the 3-4...Martial Arts background...Quick and energetic...High motor player who's excellent in pursuit...Packs a punch at POA...Still raw - Late to read zone-read plays...Minimal experience dropping into coverage...

PFW - Very productive 2017...Strong and competitive with some chase speed...Tweener...only one year of real production...No quick twitch...little pass coverage exposure...Tough and competitive but has some limitations...A bit tight, not a quick COD guy...some straight-line speed but kind of stiff...marginal size...average arm-length... Strong...top competitveness...best suited to play outside backer in a 3-4.

8 Lorenzo Carter LB07 EDG x Georgia Sr 6060 250 x

\USA Today - If you’re a fan of athleticism and upside (vs. college film and production), Carter is likely to be one of your favorite prospects...With his tall frame, long arms and explosiveness, he is sure to make plenty of DC's lobby their general managers to target him...Physical tools never translated to big numbers but he has the skill set to be a more successful at the next level than he was in college. Regardless of where he lands, his success could largely depend on the quality of his position coach.

Lindy's - Long, rangy frame with excellent wingspan...Rare athlete with excellent versatility (hand in dirt, standing up or dropping into coverage)...some questionns about his lack of sack production...Knack for forcing fumbles...When not rushing the passer, he can be driven ff the ball...

PFW - Tall and very long...good hand use...Narrow frame but plays with strength and power...good edge pass rusher...can drop into coverage and play with awareness...long strider who lacks quick COD ..Good pass rusher but stats don't reflect it....Improved every year....needs to get bigger and stronger ....

15 Josh Sweat DL48 EDG x Florida St Jr 6040 251 x

BRS (Gollin) - Disconnect between Combine forty and VJ scores and PFW write-up.

USA Today - One of the most highly touted recruits in the nation coming out of high school, his natural athletic ability is obvious on every snap. Production may not have matched the high expectations (12 career sacks), but it’s his potential NFL teams will be enamored with....combination of size, length and explosiveness will make him a highly coveted prospect, despite his lack of huge numbers.Still has room to add quality bulk to his tall frame, which would make him an even more complete player and allow him to make an impact on all three downs.

Lindy's - Knee a concern...Built exactly as NfL teams want their edge rushers to look like...Good initial burst...raw athleticism...does not consistently win with speed rush...Favors surgically repaired knee at times.

PFW - Tall with length...pass rsuh potential...Plays hard...will pursue....tough and competitive...lacks strength and bulk...doesn't make enough plays...don't see many moves/counter-moves...Hand use is average...slow to get off blocks...One-speed guy...wins on effort...lacks speed and burst to ever be a top NFL pass rusher...

14 Dorance Armstrong Jr DL25 EDG 7x Kansas Jr 6040 257 x

USA Today - His college team didn't have much success during Armstrong’s career, but that hasn’t stopped him from making enough impact to establish himself as a top NFL prospect...Versatility and athleticism should allow him to fit in any scheme at the next level,. Production dipped in 2017 from impressive 2016 numbers (20 tackles for loss, 10 sacks)....

Lindy's - Hs rushed from both sides...Undersized lacking anchor strength vs. run (can be washed out of the hole)....Has the pass rush potential worth developing as a stand-up rusher in a 3-4, but lacks top-shelf physical traits...Tracks the ball well....6 forced fumbles...

PFW - Good edge rusher with very good initial quickness and speed...Can get low and stay under opponent...Long arms...good motor...variety of moves...can drop into coverage...good tackler...good in pursuit...Very slender frame...can get buried at times...Doesn't make many tackles in run game - most tackles made in pursuit...Sack production tailed-off from 10 in 2016 to 1.5 in 2017...Comp: "Poor man's Leonard Floyd."

Lindy's - - SAM LB (a hybrid nickel role)...One of 5 Bukkus Award finalists...Consistently rallies to the ball...Tougher than he looks but not a true power player....Lacks ideal size and strength...Always hunting - quick to key and diagnose...Disruptive blitzer...Comfortable turning and going in coverage...Short-armed/will fall off tackles...Dabo Swinny says: "He's probably as good as any player as we've got on the team."

PFW - Exceptional athlete for position...Very fast with loose hips and easy COD...Instinctive/quick to make plays..Plays a lot in coverage and can match up....Aggressive...plays bigger than size...Small for a LB...has size and athleticisim of a strong safety....Projects as a hybrid safety-backer...If he tests out as well as expected, he could go high in 2nd round.

5 Malik Jefferson LB21 EDG x Texas Jr 6030 236 x

BRS (Gollin) - With the switch to a 4-3, Cards may be in the market for a traditional MIKE backer.

Lindy's - A "see-ball/get-ball" LB and a guesser...Moved from a traditional MIKE role to a hybrid "Rover" linebacking role...Explosive mover with NFL-level athleticism....Marginal instincts/takes too many false steps...gets killed on cutback runs...

PFW - Great athlete for position...has all the required physical traits, play strength and explosiveness...Was down-hill playmaker for Longhorns...good in coverage...can play man or zone...effective blitzer...reacts quickly and plays the run very well.

7 Uchenna Nwosu LB28 EDG x USC Sr 6030 251 x

USA Today - A versatile defender who can line up at any LB spot and get the job done/an every-down prospect who will be scheme-versatile at the next level. In his second season as a starter, Nwosu broke out with 9.5 sacks and 11.5 tackles for loss in 2017, establishing himself as one of the top prospects on a talented Trojans defense. Combination of explosiveness, physicality and technique make him a frustrating assignment for opposing blockers....

Lindy's - Standup defensive role at USC , seldom dropping into coverage...Master of tipping passes at LOS...Lacks elite physical traits; makes up for it with motor, instincts and toughness - just gets results...Imposing frame/sudden pass rusher...Best attribute is timing and awareness leading to tipped passes....

PFW - Interesting guy who will need time to adjust...Good LB size...Very good athlete who can change directions quickly and run well...plays hard on every snap...plays a fairly disciplined game....Not the pass rusher he was thought to be...plays out of control at times...More a standup TE in the USC scheme...almost never asked to drop back in coverage...Lacks the potential to be a good NFL EDGE rusher....will have to learn the nuances of pass coverage but is a smart player. Has the traits, competitiveness and instincts to start inside in the NFL.

16+ Tegray Scales LB33 EDG x Indiana Sr 6000 230 x

PFW - Playmaking machine...Instinctive/makes a lot of plays...Aggressive with good motor...Effective blitzer...can cover man to man...Lacks ideal size and straight-away speed...Very productive/consistently around the ball...Makes plays in coverage, against the run and as a pass rusher...Three causes for concern: (1) Not that big at 228; (2) can be overpowered by linemen at POA and (3) lacks great speed. Plays faster than he times due to instincts. Will probably be underdrafted due to physical limitations but "this guy can play."

16+ Skai Moore LB27 EDG* x+ South Carolina Sr 6020 226 x

Lindy's - Five year starter (medical redshirt season)...Small (a liability a few years ago but now part of today's trend toward smaller, more agile backers)...Instinctive player with good key and diagnostic skills...stands out in coverage..Rare hands...But narrow-hipped and just average arm-length (can get mauled at POA)..Monitor medicals.

PFW - Quick, fast and athletic...at his best in coverage...Can be effective pass rsuher...Small by LB standards...can't play near the LOS...Another hybrid LB - instincts are good enough if he's used in a hybrid fashion.

2 Harold Landry DL39 EDG* x+ BCU Sr 6030 252 x

USA Today - Landry fits the bill as an explosive, versatile edge defender who can get after opposing quarterbacks and make plays in space against both the run and pass. Last year’s FBS sack king/ a well-rounded defender who constantly requires the full attention of any OC. After breaking the school’s single-season sack record a year ago, he returned for his senior season, polishing his game and continuing to be one of the nation’s most disruptive defenders. While injuries have impacted his numbers this season, he has still been dominant when running at full strength.

Lindy's - Exceptional initial quickness and flexibility make up for lack of ideal height and length....Can rush off either side...Core flexibility and good lateral agility compliments his explosiveness...Elite pursuit skills and effort...Attacks the ball (10 forced fumbles)...But somewhat of a one-trick pony - needs a lane/can be overpowered at POA.

PFW - - Ranks #2 as EDGE Rusher - Dominating pass rush skills...Very good athlete with speed, body control and COD...Can catch plays froom behind...Competitive and instinctive playmaker...Will need to add bulk...Medical (ankle)....Can have trouble with big, athletic OT's...Sack production fell from 16.5 to 5.0 last year...Plays bigger and stronger than he measures...Can hold own at POA...Seldom out of position...probably a 3-4 outside LB with hand in dirt on passing downs..

Lindy's - If there was a college "Breakout Player of the Yea award, he'd win it...Walk-on who excelled vs. questionable competion...Scrawny when he first arrived at Boise...Offers prototyical blend of size, strength and athleticism...Looks the part of a modern LB prospect...Very good key and diagnosis skills...Very reliable open field tackler (uses textbook hit-lift-drive tackling technique)...Rural upbringing (played 8-man football) - will he be dazzled by bright lights of NFL cities)? Comp: Brian Urlacher.

PFW - One of the most instinctive players in the entire draft...Adequate size...very instinctive...Plays with strength, power and explosiveness...VG athlete with great speed, COD and overall body control...Good hand-use...effective blitzer...gets depth when in coverage...never takes a bad angle...Can play in any scheme...Instincts and leverage skills and savvy are his calling cards...

1 Bradley Chubb DL28 EDG x NC State xx 6040 269 xxx

USA Today - One of the nation’s most dominant and disruptive defenders - a one-man wrecking crew,, racking up 48 tackles for loss and 20.5 sacks over the past two seasons. Despite opposing offenses scheming to avoid him, he has continued to put up huge numbers and make a seismic impact....A tailor-made 4-3 defensive end & one of the most complete prospects in this year’s draft class. Though there may be more athletic pass-rushers available this year, his combination of power, technique and a physical playing style make him this year’s best edge defender.

Lindy's - Has the look of an NFL DE...Uses brute power from dominant arm to move blockers...Quick "outside-in" move...Isn't a quick-twitch demon off the edge who relies on athletiism alone - Offers NFL acceleration and juice in pursuit...Has competitive make-up and diverse skill-set...Quick to process action in backfield... Likes to yap...Lacks elite burst or edge speed...Loses leverage when pad-level rises...Discipline lapses. Comp: Chandler Jones.

PFW - Ranks #1 EDGE Rusher - Excellent size and length...Very good athlete with excellent strength, explosiveness and power...Dominates...may be best edge rusher in the draft...great closing speed..consistent playmaker...No weakenesses (other than that he doesn't have a twin brother)...one of the most dominant pass rushers in this draft...Great get-off and VG hand-use...plays with leverage...Catches a number of plays from behind...Future Pro Bowl player...

USA Today - Though he may lack the elite explosiveness of other rushers in this class, Hubbard’s complete skill set and consistent production (29.5 tackles for loss over his three seasons) should have him coming off the board somewhere in the second round, at the latest....Hubbard is among this year’s top (pass rush) offerings to come out of Columbus. A well-rounded prospect with tons of experience against top competition (who) can set the edge against the run or collapse the pocket...

Lindy's - Ranks #4 - "Safe" pick but not a difference-maker...Nimble, flexible athlete but not a sudden rusher or power player...Comfortable in space...Gained 40+ pounds after committing to FB...Comp: Emmanuel Ogbah

PFW - Good height and length...good athlete...well-coached/knows how to use his hands rushing the QB...gets the most out of his talent...Good key and diagnose skills...tough/plays hard....But not special, athletically...speed and burst are average...not much quick twitch...needs to add strength and power...lacks top explosiveness...not quick enough to play OLB in a 3-4/looks more like a 4-3 DE...Will become a solid pro but never special.

USA Today - A well-rounded prospect with an ideal frame for the next level, Ejiofor tallied 17 sacks and 31.5 tackles for loss over the past two seasons....May lack the elite explosiveness and athleticism of other edge players in this class, but gets the most out of his physical tools thanks to his intelligence, instincts and technique. Has a nose for opposing QB's, and gets to them by any means necessary.

Lindy's - Not a traditional edge rusher who screams off the corner, but has graduate-level hand-usage & other advanced-techniques...Averqage size and athletic profile...Violent hands...fires off the snap...Quick-thinker...assignment sound...Lacks ideal bulk, strength or growth potential....Medical (concussions)...

USA Today - One of this year’s most intriguing sleepers, he has the frame, length and athleticism NFL teams are looking for in edge defenders. Late bloomerwho tallied seven tackle for loss and four sacks for the Scarlet Knights...While his numbers aren’t much to look at, his physical tools and upside will catch the attention of NFL teams, as they did at this year’s Senior Bowl.Strong showing at the combine could further improve his stock.

Lindy's - Length and agility could make him a pass-rushing monster...One trick pony. (i.e. speed off the edge)...Impressed at Senior Bowl practices...Lean, athletic, more disruptive than dependible..

USA Today - Massive edge defender with power and explosiveness to burn/racked up 23.5 tackles for loss over the past two seasons. His frame and versatility should make him plenty of fans in NFL scouting circles...Fairly week class should have him off the board before the draft’s final day....'Canes went through most 2017 undefeated, thanks in large part to the dominant defense anchored by Thomas.

Lindy's - Relentless/high energy player who tends to flash rather than dominate...Long and athletic with good size and great natural strength...Adept at dipping and knifing between blocks...Will bull-rush straight up the field too often...Stays high and reaches at times...Could be spotted at strong side DE in a 4-3.

PFW - Looks the part, but doesn't always play the part...Good size and length...can be a very good edge pass rsuher...really good athlete...explosive., can change directions and run...Consistent tackler...but questionable instincts...Best skill is rushing the passer...has problems defending the run...but all the physical traits are there.
